Moonviewing, or O-Tsukimi, is a Japanese festival that takes place when the moon is full in autumn. At this romantic Garden event, lantern-lit paths, performances of Chado, and samples of tea and sake await visitors while the sounds of the shakuhachi, or Japanese bamboo flute and the koto, a traditional Japanese stringed musical instrument, drift through the Garden.
