Anderson Japanese Gardens is pleased to announce its annual Japanese flower arranging(Ikebana) exhibition and demonstration along with a public demonstration of a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony(Chanoyu) at the Anderson Japanese Gardens Visitor Center Gallery. This special event will be guided by students of Professor Ikka Nakashima of Chicago. Nakashima Sensei was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays by his Majesty the Emperor of Japan in recognition of her decades of work as a Cultural Ambassador of Japan.
Classes will be facilitated by Kazuko Bressler(Ikebana) and Christopher Plunkett and Brian Rous(Chanoyu), all students of Professor Ikka Nakashima.
Demonstration Dates: Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th
Demonstration Times: 10:30am or 1:30pm
Cost:$10 per guest for members; $15 per guest for non-members
