Japanese Garden Web Showcase:

Showcase site #4 comes to us from James Hanselman of Hanselman Landscape. You can read his comments below and then visit the site at Hanatoyo. After you have visited the site, please fill out the short survey below.

What if you could see what a "real" Japanese gardener would do in a modern urban setting? Hanatoyo's hanatoyo.co.jp gives you the opportunity to see the passion these master craftsmen share for preservation of a rich historical garden tradition explained alongside their ISO-certified cutting-edge work in environmental conservation, as well as new gardens in public and private contemporary settings.

Remarkably, they share their story in both Japanese and English versions of their site,  generously following this statement;  "We believe our mission is to pass these skills and experiences down to the generations, which is vital to bequeath the legacy of Japanese gardens" ... as true today as it was 150 years ago when they started business.

You can check it out at and let us know what you think by filling out the short survey below.
